Emergency Dental Care
Same-day appointments for dental emergencies. Broken teeth, severe pain, or infections — we are here when you need us.
Dental Emergencies Cannot Wait
When you are in pain or have suffered dental trauma, every minute matters. We reserve emergency slots every day specifically for urgent cases. Call us at 031 234 5678 and we will get you seen as quickly as possible — usually within hours.
What Counts as a Dental Emergency?
- Severe toothache that does not respond to over-the-counter pain medication
- Knocked-out tooth — time is critical; bring the tooth with you
- Broken, cracked, or chipped tooth from trauma or biting on something hard
- Lost filling or crown leaving the tooth exposed and sensitive
- Dental abscess — swelling, fever, or a bad taste in your mouth
- Bleeding that will not stop after an extraction or injury
- Jaw injury or inability to open or close your mouth
What to Do Before You Reach Us
Knocked-Out Tooth
Hold the tooth by the crown (not the root). If possible, gently rinse it and place it back in the socket. If you cannot reinsert it, keep it moist in milk or saliva. Get to us within 30 minutes for the best chance of saving it.
Severe Toothache
Rinse with warm salt water. Take ibuprofen for pain and inflammation (not aspirin, which can increase bleeding). Apply a cold compress to your cheek if there is swelling.
Broken Tooth
Save any pieces. Rinse your mouth with warm water. Apply gauze to any bleeding areas and a cold compress to reduce swelling.
After-Hours Emergencies
Our voicemail provides an after-hours emergency contact number. For life-threatening situations (difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, facial trauma with suspected fractures), go directly to your nearest hospital emergency department.
